One fine morning I go to work with a new team. Here the whole comfort zone which was created earlier was gone, also some kind of pressure to prove that you are not a misfit was felt. Couple of days passed and I was anxious. Look around you there are people who looked like they know only the programing languages and nothing else, and hear I am with a broader knowledge and good confidence but would take time to finish the code.
This was not a very good scenario as we were racing time at least me!
Somebody said " Talking helps!" yes it did.
I was told "face the fears" I thought it was cliche and I was not so enthusiastic over the statement. Then comes the big one. My friend said " You will be known not by what you choose but by what you leave". I thought over it. I felt it made sense.
I started from where one starts the journey. Kept aside all the knowledge I know for a while. I started working from the ground zero. It helped!
I started to code with shaky approach. Then I realized that its only logic that matter not the way you implement it.
Now as of today in the span of 4 - 5 weeks I have already played around with different types of stuff like from C# tools to outlook plug ins. It amazes me :)
Its not how much variety or how many lines of code I have done, its about ability to understand the pattern and also ability to extend it.
